Well here are some awesome basics to get you started…
We can break down a whole gym routine into the following
- Vertical Push (Shoulder press)
- Vertical Pull (Lat pulldown)
- Horizontal Push (Bench Press)
- Horizontal Pull (bent over row)
- Rotation (Russian twist)
You could complete these exercises in a full workout to condition your body
each rep should be 3 seconds lower/ 1 second pause/3 seconds pull
30-60 seconds rest between each set
After 3-4 weeks – moving towards hypertrophy (muscle building)
4-8 sets per body part, per week
Each rep should be 3 seconds lower/1 second pause/2 seconds pull
60-120 seconds rest between each set
4-6 weeks – moving toward strength
5 sets per exercise (focus on big movements)
3-5 reps (heavy)
2 minutes – 4 minutes between sets
